    Timeout Expired

    Hello everyone,

I have an access aplication in which one continues form is connected to a view.
In this form, a check box is bound to a table field (the value is 0 or -1).
Now, I have a weird problem. Sometimes ticking the check boxes in the form, updates the fields in the table and works perfectly fine, but sometimes when i try to tick the check boxes, it just hangs and after a while it shows me a message box with "Timeout Expired".It doest not update the table filed.

Can anyone help me with that? I need to fix it ASAP.

    Thanks in advance.

connected to a view? isn't a "view" an object in a sharepoint environment?

If it is, the message makes perfect sense...

It is connected to a view means the data source of the form is a view in sql server.

oops!! certainly shows that I don't work with sql server!

well, the message still makes good sense, doesn't it?? there is something wrong with the connection. Either the driver is having issues, the server is not responding, etc...

a timeout error is pretty cut and dry. I'm sorry but I can't help you with the specifics. Timeout = server not responding. Like a webpage not loading...could be other things but like I said, I dont have experience with sql server. mysql only.

    good luck to ya, sir!
