Question DB doubled in size after import into new DB

While trying to solve a corruption problem in my db I was forced to re-create the db.
The steps to do so were:
    1) Create a new blank db
    2) Import everything into the new db EXCEPT the form that was causing the code corrupton.

This worked perfectly well EXCEPT the new db is over twice the size (29MB vs 60MB) of the the original db. What is strange is that there is no data in either db - it is strictly a front end to a SQL database using linked tables.
I have done several compact and repairs but they do not help.
Totally baffled as to why this doubling would have taken place!
    Anyone have any suggestons?
    Thanks for any help provided.

    Talking Figured it out!

    DOH!
I finally found out what the problem was:
When I created the new db it created all of the MS generated sys tables BUT when I imported the tables (linked) I didn't notice that I had left the sys tables selected so it duplicated them all and put a "1" after each of their names.
So, I deleted them and SURPRISE the db is now the same size!

Hope this saves someone else from asking the original question!
