Accdb file differences running xp or Win7

Happy Easter and bless you if you're working today!

I'm confused about issues relating to creating an application in office 2010, on 2 computers, one running xp, the other Windows 7.

My latest "what the ..?" moment was when I opened a recently saved version of my app (last closed on xp laptop) and opened it on Windows 7 desktop. A custom tab created in the xp version does not now exist.

Another curiosity, is that the only reason i created this tab was because both versions of acces 2010 do not offer the Switchboard Manager (program fully reinstalled) from the Database Tools tab as does in a 3rd machine operating Access 2007 running xp.

    So i guess 2 questions.

Would appreciate hearing from anyone with similar experiences / explanations or just explanations.

    Cheers,
    s.

Access 2010 introduced the Navigation Form as a replacement for the Switchboard. I'm not sure what you mean by "Custom Tab".
