    Question COPY DATA and TRIM


    I have a large data table ( 400,000 records ). All records have a element which I would like to copy to a new field on the existing records and the trim from that field n number of characters. I have created the new field in the record already.

    Any ideas

    You can use right, lift or mid function according to the location of the element you need.
