    Losing Records Saved From Form

Hitting an odd issue and hoping someone can help me solve it.

I have a standard form to allow multiple users enter client notes into a table.

These notes are saved and are populated on a client report.

I have users entering notes through the form, printing their report which correctly contains the notes, but some users are reporting a confirmed issue that after they close the database and re-open (usually the next day) their notes are missing from both the Table and Report.

What would cause a form to save notes temporarily but then lose them upon closing the database? My suspicion is this has something to do with multiple users but am not sure.

Thanks to anyone that can shine some light on this.

    Nothing, really.

It might be a multiple user issue, but it could also be that someone is messing with you. I've seen that a million times. I remember once I was a tech support in a large corporation and someone internally got mad at us so they came to my buddy's desk and flipped his desktop upside down via the keys.

Yeah, that'll teach you to lock your machine when going to the bathroom!

Anyway, the data could be getting discarded if you don't have records locks appropriately?? That could be it too, but if it's happening all the time, that's a little bit more strange.

Do you use transactions at any point? What backend are you using? Have you found any pattern in WHEN it happens? Have you found a way to replicate it?

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
