    Data preventing Referential Integrity

Would be very grateful if someone could help:

I have a one to many relationship between two tables. The relationship relates to a text field called "IncomeSource".

I have not yet enforced referential integrity.

Both tables already have data in them, however I am confident the data in each table is consistent and am not sure why it is preventing me from setting up referential integrity.

The table with "IncomeSource" as its PK has the values: "Cash"; "Interest" etc
The table with "IncomeSource" as a FK aso has the values: "Cash"; "Interest" etc. spelled exacltly the same way.

The are no values in one table that are not found in the opposite table.

When I go to enforce referential integrity I get the message:

"Microsoft Office Access can't create this relationship and enforce referential integrtiy. Data in the table "TblTrans" violates referential integrity rules"

"TblTrans" is the table with "IncomeSource" as its FK.

I have no idea why this is occuring..

MY APOLOGIES.. PROBLEM SOLVED. I WSN'T LINKING TO THE CORRECT FIELD. SORRY.. I WOULD REMOVE POST BUT CANNOT WORK OUT HOW TO
