    Question Access User Security

I have created an Access 2007 database.

Problem: Several users will be adding to this database with a form. However, I only want them to be able to see their entries from the database, (no other user's) and only for a week's worth of entries, and no more. I want to split this database - back end on the network - front end on each individual PC.

How can I do this without user security that was available in 2003? I know I need to use a passwork - but on the database? Each will need to set their own so no one can see any other user's data.

first thing that comes to mind is multiple filters that are set either by knowing a username or from a password entry. I don't know if you can do this. Might want to try??

    Thanks.

    I will look into that.
If anyone comes up with a quicker solution - let me know.

    Thanks again.

you have to add in your tables... 2 fields, 1st for date entry and 2nd for user entry... so in your front end... it should be automatically update these two fields every time the user saved or entered the data... and have to be hidden.

During log in... filter records per user and entered in past week.
