Creating an application form using Access

I'm trying to make a program application form for high school students to fill out. The process currently uses physical forms and involves a lot of trade-off between guidance counselors and program directors. The application form will need questions and even some essays. Would Access even be a possibility for this? Is there a way to make it so that when the student is filling out the form, the textboxes are labeled by questions and the answers are stored in the database but labeled by short, one or two word descriptions?

So just to clarify, the idea is that students would fill out a form on a terminal at their school.

    Thanks

Yes, Access would be a good solution.
