    Max # of fields reached?

    Hi, simple question.

It seems my querys can only hold 16 fields, as there is only 16 spaces for fields in the design view. Can someone please confirm this or let me know how I can add additional spaces?

I *could* just make another query, but I would rather avoid this if I can.

At the bottom of the grid is a horizontal scroll bar.

What sort of "stuff" did you want to enter?

    So the longhand version:

I have a password-protected query by form that I am using for editing.

I have it set up to do a search for up to 5 fields, so 5 of my 16 fields are taken up by form input. The other 11 are taken up by fields important to those records that I would like to be editable.

I have another 4 or 5 fields that I would like to add to that "important field" list so they can be edited by the user, however:

It seems I am limited to 16 fields, as there is only 16 field spaces in the query design view. I need a way around this.

There is *no* such limit in Access so I wonder what you are looking at. Have you opened the query with the Query Designer?

Just got it! I made it a while ago, ive been using design view. Theres nothing like: manually right-click and add a blank field slot or copy-insert in the grid.

I forgot you can double-click a field in the relationship window above and it will add a new field. Derrr... I was trying to put the square peg in the round hole.
