converting from Access 2003 to Access 2007

    Hi there,

I'm converting an MS Access application from 2003 to 2007 and ran into some issues:

    • The modules, macros, and all the VBA code cannot be opened for some reason, they seem to be lost after the conversion process.

Has anyone experienced this before and if so what are the workarounds or solutions to converting a MS ACCESS 2003 database to MS Access 2007?

    Thanks in advance,

    Lawrence

You need a trusted location and Importing the older db seems to be less problematic that converting.

    Thanks RuralGuy,

I've tried, but seem to have some permission issues. How many ways can one add a new location, as I currently cannot add a new location through the office button method. Would it be possible to add a new trusted location through the registries or is there an easier way?

    thanks again!

Actually, assuming you'd have the privileges, could you use the OCT (Office Customization Tool) to add a new trusted location?

    Thx!

Are you saying that the location you picked with the Browse button doesn't save or *NO* location saves in the Trusted Location dialog. Does your IT department have your machine locked down? Have you tried different locations on your machine?

It seems that I don't have the required privileges as I can't try different locations because the add locations area is totally disabled. I'm waiting to hear from the department and was wondering if there was any other way to add new trusted locations.

Does the dialog show *any* trusted locations? If so, then try moving your db to that location.
