Missing menu item Package and Distribute

So it seems that Access has a "Package and Distribute" option on the backstage "File" tab...but not on my copy (see attached). MS says "Note that Packaging Wizard and Template Save As Template are integrated in Microsoft Access 2010 and do not need separate add-ins."

where's the 1st pic from? the 2nd? 2 is on your machine? 1 is on someone else's?

trial versions 2010 don't have that option, FYI.

I have an identical problem insofar as I have access 2010 installed, I have installed access 2010 runtime to enable the save an publish option, alas the option is not visible, I have checked and repaired the installation, anyone have any clues ast to why the icon for save and publish is missing

Hi Dave,

I resolved this by inserting my Access disk and go to Add and Remove features. And add the one you want.

Also you can take your accdb file and rename it to accdr. That will force it to use runtime.
