Exporting single query and single report.

    Setup:
I have alarm software the backs itself up every month to a unique subdirectory. File is an MDB - full copy, i.e., every backup is a full copy of data at that point in time.

Using one of the months as a sample, I created a query, then a report off the query showing only the data needed.

    The Puzzler:
How can I copy (or export, or however) just the query and it's report so that I can apply it to another months database copy ??? Looked in export/import forum but it seems to address data, not a query & report structure.

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

Exporting such things has never been available in any version of Access.

What IS available is Importing them from another database into the current one where you're working. In Access 2003, follow this menu path:
File > Get External Data > Import

Navigate to and open the MDB file which has your query & report. A window will pop open allowing you to select from the tables, queries, forms, reports, etc. contained in the other file. Pick what you want & hit OK.

    Steve ...

That did exactly what I wanted. Thank you very much.
