    Post "could not find file"

Hi, I am trying to repair a database. When i try to open it comes up with a warning Could Not Find File??? I can open when i use the shift key. I am assuming it has somthing to do with when it was converted to 2007 from 2003. I have also gone into the VBA code and tried to run some of the Macro's and it advise's that the Macro's are disabled. Hoping that someone can help me. Thanks Sarah

this is a sign of corruption. there's nothing you can do about it, other than maybe import your objects into a new file and see if it goes away.

as far as content being disabled, change your settings in the ''trust settings'' to get rid of that message permanently.

Hi Adam, Thanks but i really didnt want to hear that... I thought there would a "Magic" way to make the database work.... I have already tried to make a new database and pulled over all the tables etc, but it still didnt work and the "corrupted" stuff came with it...
This database has alot of informaiton in it, Is it possible to copy a blank database (not corrupted) and merge the tables etc into the new database? Or will the corrupted stuff come over as well?

you can't find the corruption, Sarah. that's what's not cool about this.

even the pros still google answer to these problems, so you're really subject to trial and error, unless some "magic" answer appears here from someone that's been in your same shoes.

but I can tell you that everyone and their dog have seen that message at some point in their life, so your situation is really not new.

I use a ShortCut to do the /decompile as described in the link:
1a) Create a shortcut with the following
    "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\MSACCESS.EXE" "d:\My Documents\access\mayapp.mdb" /decompile

Right click on the db and SendTo. Then edit the shortcut.

First you make the shortcut. Then you right click on the shortcut and go to properties. Then you edit the Target of the property.
