1st Access application. Needs a clue..

Let me apologize in advance for asking what should be a simple question but I am at the very beginning of learning Access.

I have two tables. Lets say one table is finished products, the other is parts.

I guess I am wanting to create a 3rd table which will combine the 1st product and then be able to list all the parts from table two, then checkmark them to say that they are used in the product. Then be able to take the next product and do the same thing, etc, etc, etc. IS this possible?

If someone would give me a few pointers I would greatly appreciate it. Right now I am trying to do it in a form but only have it where it brings up both the products and parts by the Primary Key. (Trying to scroll forward to add another item just scrolls through both at the same time, so I definitely don't have it working yet!)

You might search on BOM or Bill of Materials.

Is there a book/textbook that uses Northwind as a studyguild to help teach how to use Access, like a textbook used in an online course?
