    Command Button Wizard

I am trying to add a Command Button to open another form based upon matching a field in the current form. In the Command Button Wizard window that typically lists the fields in the current form to match with the other form is blank with no fields to match.

    I'm new to 2007...

    Thanks in advance!

    Chris

Not sure why the wizard isn't listing fields, but if you want to write a little VBA code, here's the basics:

    Thanks Paul,

I have another issue that may streamline the solution to this issue... In my employee table I enter the first and last name as separate fields with a ID primary key and in my forms a combo box selects the full name from a quirey that assembles it from the employee table. The other issue I am having is that I cant match the full name field in the employee form, as it only includes the first and last names, when trying to open another form for the matching record... I understand the importance of primary keys but not how Access treats them when doing lookups...

I appreciate the prompt response Paul!

No Current Fields to match in Combo Box Wizard

    Hi Paul,

Not directly. Could the issue with the Wizard be caused by the new feature in 2007 that allows for multiple selections in a combo box? I have them in my table, as I could not figure out how to accomplish this in the form.

I was able to acheive my objective with code but I'm stil curious as to why the Wizard doesn't work.

    Thanks for the follow up!

    Chris

I suppose it's possible. I don't believe the new feature represents proper normalized design, and haven't used it.
