    Turn Off Auto Save Record

I have a form created and it has a autonumber for the key. When a field in the form has been selected and you tab past it to the end of the tab list the data is auto saved or submitted. Even if I do not click the save button. I dont want it to be able to submit until i have the user hit the save button. How can I turn off this auto save feature? Thanks

The simplest method is to use a flag variable (usually boolean) that is global to the form and set it with your "Save" button. Check it in the BeforeUpdate event of the form and if not set you can Cancel the update in that event.
