New Computer not accepting 5 digits

    Hi,

I am relatively new to Acces, have not really worked on it.

My problem is: In my office certain sections of the company use a access database and one user had her PC crashed and I had to recover/restore files onto another PC.

Now she is having problems entering docket number that are 5 digits. there were no changes done on her access to the db.

I am not sure what would be the problem here, so can anyone please help me out?

    Thanks in advance

Not enough information. What is your system layout? Split application with separate FrontEnds on everyone's local PC? what?

The system is a XP SP2 with office 2007 and db was design from previous access version, on the previous system she was using access 2000 but there are users on access 2000 not able to enter 5 digits too. this particular user was entering 4 digits until the docket number changed so she had to enter the 5 digits which she managed, with the help of the consultant programmer/designer on the old PC, now that she is using another PC she is not able to.

apology for my long explanation hope that helps, let me know if you need more info.

    thanks

I take it this is on a certain form. It sounds like the field has been defined as 4 characters. What are the specifications on the field?
