Hello
I have a database access 2003 with user level security. That means with login and password. User level security is not supported in access 2007. (.accdb, .accde, .accdc, .accdr). I have convert the database from .mdb to .accdb. Now I am able to open the database on a computer with access 2007 pre-installed without login and without a password. When I trie to open the database on a computer without access 2007 but with access 2007 runtime I get a message.: "Microsoft Office Access has encountered a problem and need to close. We are sory for the inconvenience" + send report to microsoft.
Summary
I have compiled the database under 2007.
convertion from .mdb to .accdb + rename .accdb to .accdr
Access runtime 2007 is installed on a XP SP3.
I have renamed the database to accdr, I have created a shortcut with /runtime parameter.
When I create a new db under 2007 in which I import all the objects from the old database, and when I run the new database under access 2007 runtime then the database opens without any problem. Can somebody help me?
Korneel.
