    I'm not clear on what you're asking. If you select another date, wouldn't you want that new date in the textbox?

    Thanks for your reply. The idea is not to replace the date of the calendar in the field. Let us say, if a user clicks on th 1st of December, then the textbox should remember that on the 1st there is an appointment for that date.
