Angry you do not have the necessary permission

I have a DB to maintain. It is a .mdb file and a security.mdw file. When I tried to open it, I got the error message:

You do not have the necessary permission to use the ".....mdb" object.

Have admin or the person who created this object establish the appropriate permissions for you.

The problem is we have no way to find the person who created the DB. Can someone help? Thanks.

You could try opening the database with userid = admin, and no password; that sometimes will work if the original programmer did not remove the permissions for admin.

If that doesn't work you have a problem. There are vendors out there who for a fee provide methods of recovering from this situation, but (I think for obvious reasons) Microsoft does not.

John I have tried many password cracking tools but most of them giving message it could be currupt database. But I 100% sure its not because there is packed application when unpacked many dlls and other application files are created along with this .MDB.
and the application is able to open same MDB file.
