accessforums running slow, errors in editing and display

I've noticed the last couple of weeks it is taking 15 secs or so to navigate to a new page (opening a thread for example). It used to be pretty much instantaneous. Does something need rebalancing?

Also for a while now, while formatting text in the editor, the characters selected do not get formatted, instead characters further to the right do. So I get this

    this is an example

    instead of

    this is an example

And today, using the backslash is fine in the editor, but when posted between quotes is replaced with a pipe char - re-edit and the backslash displays, save again and back come the pipes

It should be a local problem. Please try clearing your browser cache or try a different browser.

I've also been having the same issue with pages loading slowly for the last week or so.
This is on more than one computer and different browsers.

Other sites aren't affected so I don't believe the problem is at my end

I've just cleared my cache and tried different browsers, still going slow, not sure about the other points in terms of generation but certainly still presenting - see this link, post #3 (I didn't add the italics in the quote box by the way)

    just try one here

    C:\abcz\123
    C:\abcz\123

edit, this is what I see

perhaps the italic is making a backslash look like a pipe?

For info, each page on this site takes 5-10 seconds to load for me. Used to be instantaneous.
As I said, its on more than one browser & more than one PC. Cache cleared. No other sites affected.

Looks like a routing issue which makes it slow to some area. Did it also start to you since a couple weeks ago?

Haven't noticed change in load speed.

The text highlight has always been an intermittent issue. I simply retype characters within the formatted string. Must be some hidden formatting in the page that causes confusion about where the cursor is actually positioned. Doesn't happen every time. I live with.

Site has been fine for me. Looks like the formatting worked as well.

I believe the loading speed problem was a routing problem between the server and affected visitors in certain area. Just contacted the ISP, the reply wasn't much helpful, the support wasn't aware of any changes on their network. Sorry, there is nothing I can do at this point except changing the server.

Site seemed to be down last night (my time). There has been a little more lag lately, though for me it's just a few seconds.

Yes, the server ISP had a power outage which disconnected many servers. It took them too long to fix it.
