Transfer Between Garmin GPS & Access 2007

Does anyone know of a way to transfer data between a Garmin GPS and an Access database? I haven't been able to find any decent GPS software. I would like to be able to transfer the data into an Access database, manipulate and maintenance it, and then upload it back to the GPS.

Can the Garmin export data to Excel or CSV file? If not try GoogleEarth to download data from the Garmin plugged into pc: http://support.google.com/earth/bin/...&answer=148095

Access can import from Excel and text (CSV, txt, KML) file types.

Thanks for the quick reply. I don't have the 1490LMT with me right now, as my wife is traveling with it. However, it seems to me when I last exported to CSV, the csv file didn't include the Category. Is that correct? Many of my Favorites have Categories assisgned, so I was hoping to see that in one of the columns. I have Nuvi's 350 & 360 with me, but they don't support Categories, so I can't test it now. What Fields (columns) should be included in the csv file? I would also like to know this for when I create csv files to upload.

I have no idea what the structure of Garmin data files are. Never used the devices you listed.
