    Macro for user permissions


    is there a code i can use on a login form to give a user access to all forms / tables ect & another user access to only forms on the attached?

    there is no pre-canned or embedded feature or macro. Historically there once was user level security in the .mdb product set - but the complexity/useability of it had always been difficult. Those that mastered it liked it, but many found it difficult to manage and set up their own.

    to set up your own, one must set up the ability generally via a log in, and then have object visibility or enabling depending on the user's log in . meaning you must know the Access product and some vba tasks.

    having said that, in the end this is only 'casual' security - and probably better described as data segregation rather than security. It is not at all serious hack-proof security.
