Creating a Flat File with Signed Numeric Data Fields

I have two issues that I'm trying to solve:

    1. How do I design a numeric data field to have a sign (+ or -) as the first position of the numeric data field and is "right" justified?
    2. How do I design a numeric data field that is "zero filled "and "right" justified?
    Please help ASAP!!!

you can't. sorry. you're stuck with the datasheet design that Access gives you. tables are the only objects (almost) that dont' allow user design. If this is a big priority for your situation, I would suggest using another program that allows these changes.

you might check the Access options for text alignment choices in datasheets.

Your requirements dictate that they must be defined as text fields in terms of the table field property. Other than that - you should be able to do what you need. And the fact that from the db design viewpoint they are text fields doesn't change the user's view that they are numbers....
