Getting rid of default 0 value in a text box

    Hi,

I am making a form with fields that the user enters values into. Some of my text boxes have a default "0" value in them when the page is displayed. I read on another forum that changing the Format property of the text box to #,### will solve this issue. I tried that, and the 0 did not display when I pulled up the form, but as soon as I clicked on the text box to type in a value, the 0 displayed. How can I fix this? Thanks!

Can you zip up and post a copy of the database?

    Thanks

    Hi

This can be sorted by removing the default 0 from the field in the Table.

@mike60smart, where do I remove the default 0? Is it in one of the table properties?

    Hi

Switch to design View in the table

The fields will display as a List in the Left Column and the DataTypes will be in the Right Column
Select the field that has the Default of 0
Then in the General Tab at the bottom of the screen you will see the DefaultValue of 0
