All records are changing - continuous form issue

I have a continuous form that has a combo box field that updates every record in the continuous form when updated.



The field before this is the $ amount field that the user can update without effecting the rest of the records, the next field is the combo box where the user selects the currency (CAD/USD). once the user selects the correct currency ALL the records in the continuous form show that specific currency. The backend table that the form is attached to seems to be unaffected but the form the user sees changes and this causes a lot of confusion.

is there a setting i need to adjust? any suggestions appreciated!

If you want the combo to be record specific, it has to be bound to a field in the table. Doesn't the table have a field for currency?
