Query opens instantly, form takes 5 minutes

I have a query that loads instantly when opened (less than 2 seconds) but when I make a super simple, no code datasheet form to view it, it takes over five minutes to load. Any idea why?

What is the SQL for the query / form?
Is something else happening in the background?
Are there a large number of records / fields involved?

Not without examining data and query and form.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
