I am trying to create a database of swim teams that come to my pool. I have a 50 meter, 10 lane pool and I wanted to create something similar to my excel sheet that I attached. I currently fill in all the teams in their respected times and I have to create individual team schedules for each team.
My goal is to make something in access that would let me choose:
1. the team name
2. team color
3. time of practice
4. number of lanes.
Then I would have it to where a report would be created for each specific team within a month.
The access DB should be able to see that a team has a certain amount of lanes and only a certain amount of lanes are open for specific times.
Example - If team A has 10 lanes from 5-7am then team B cannot swim in that timeslot since 10 lanes are being used.
I wanted to see if anyone has seen a similar database I could use as a reference. This would help my organization big time but I dont know how access would see a team block and let the user know how many lanes can be used.
