    Import Error/failure

    I have a MS Access 2010 database that i have inherited and maintained and has it run with no issues for quite a while. In several tables a hyperlink field is used. The hyperlink is used to connect the access record to a scanned pdf on a file server. The sever that the records are saved is being replaced and thus its name will change. The hyperlinks currently saved in the records will be "broken" once the server migration is completed. Currently the hyperlink looks like this;
    \\w2008svr\Qa Scanned Docs\...etc..etc...
    Once the migration is complete the new path will be along these lines
    \\w2016svr\Data...etc....

    I have approx 98,000 records across several tables that have such links in them.
    I have exported the ID field and the hyperlink field into Excel and did a find/replace and updated the existing hyperlink field to \\w20106svr\data\..etc...
    However when i attempt to import the Excel spreadsheet bank into Access it will not work and i get the attached error. I am attempting at append the records in the existing table. Any thoughts/insight will be appreciated...
    Thanks...

    Why not put the XL file in the same place, with the same name, like:
    \\server\folder\file2import.xlsx

    this is linked as an external table,to import with a query.
    1 save new data to the file,
    2 run append qry,
    done.
