    Smile Access to Excel Connection

    Hi there,

I have a shared database on a network directory and I also have an Excel workbook connected to this database to produce a number of pivot tables from it.

Unfortunately, when other users are in the database, I get the following message appear...

    Code:
    Reenter Password
The password is missing or invalid for *DATABASE NAME*. Please verify your Password and reenter it.
Is there any workaround available so that I do not have to make all other users exit the database before refreshing the data in excel?

    Many thanks!

Is the database split for multiple users?
    Is the XL file passworded?
Is the XL file in a shared network folder?
