    Sum of text box

I have a report as shown below:
School Year Member EducLevel Pledge Invoice Payment
    18-19 Neil College 2300 19/3/3 500
    Marites HighSchool 1100 19/2/25 1000
    Joeben College 2300 0
    Teresa College 2300 19/01/01 1500

Pledge is a text box with formula =iif([educlevel]="College",2300,1100
The pledge text box runs properly.

What I need is to total the pledges. I entered the following formula =sum([pledge]).

When I run the report, it ask for an input, if you enter, it is blank. It is not properly running the formula.

    Can you please help me.

you need to include your pledge calculation in the report recordsource rather than calculate it on the report

    Dear Ajax,

Thanks for the suggestion. but I have wrongly laid out the details. hope you can bear with me.

I have created a 2 queries Pledge and Payment, it connects in the Member name.
In the relationship, 1 in pledge and all in payment. I think this is where the problem lies.

School Year Member EducLevel Pledge Invoice Payment
    18-19 Neil College 2300 19/03/2019 500
    Neil College 2300 25/03/2019 500
    Marites HighSchool 1100 19/02/2019 1000
    Marites HighSchool 1100 20/02/2019 50
    Joeben College 2300 0
    Teresa College 2300 19/01/2001 1500

This is how it looks in the joined query, therefore, when I created the report with groupings, I made the following

    School Year
    Member
    Education Level
    Pledge

When I total the pledge it gets per line, here is where my problem is.

Can you help me on this.

    Thanks in advance.
