    Adding product size

    Hello All,

I am drawing a blank on how to setup this requirement. On a form I need to have the user enter the production dimension. (Height x Length), example 5' x 6'.

    What is the best practice?

Setting up 2 separate fields one for height and one for length or just one text field with some type of data validation rule?

    Thanks to all.

The form is one thing, but how do you plan to save the data in your table?
    Height, length and width?

Will all dimensions be in ft? No inches, no cms etc? Often there is a field UoM (unit of measure)...

I would have two separate fields. Then you can do numeric validation on it.
If it is just one field, it would have to be a string, making it extremely difficult to do any sort of validation on it.
