Ranking or Auto Numbering in Query/ Report

Is it possible to provide ranking or any auto number in a query or report under the condition , that table does not have primary key with autonumber.



I want directly give ranking in my query

it is in principle, but perhaps might be slow for large amounts of data. Why not just sort the table in the report? Note that sorting the query recordsource is pointless for reports - you do it in the report itself. If this is insufficient then you need to provide some example data and the basis for ranking.

You can in a report, the query has field,Rank =1,
then in the report turn on running sum,for Rank.
sort the query by the field you want and the rank will grow.
