Form filtering

Does someone know why my form is filtering when using this command? DoCmd.OpenForm "FRM_DETAIL_EDIT", , , "PARTS_ID = " & Me.PARTS_ID

I want it to go to the PART_ID and it does but you cannot navigate to any other record without un filtering the form first.
