Hello all!
I am part of a small Rep firm for a variety of product lines - I have been tasked with creating a database that will house the following information:
Customers
Manufacturers
Quarterly Sales
Customer Service Case List
Each Customer can purchase from a variety of Manufacturers.
Each Manufacturer may have different multipliers or special programs depending on the customer
The CS case lists will also contain information from both the Customer and Manufacturer tables, as will quarterly sales.
In the end I would like to have data displayed in the following way:
Current (unresolved) customer case lists by customer
Current (unresolved) customer case lists by manufacturer
On customers, I'd like to be able to see which manufacturer's they buy from, and which multiplier or special program is in effect
On Manufacturers, I'd like to be able to see which customer's they sell to, and at what multiplier
It would be the same for the Quarterly Sales, I would need to see each Customer by Manufacturer, and each Manufacturer by Customer (If that makes sense)
I have the following tables and relationships, but now I'm stuck as to how to work with the data itself - I need to have easy forms (would it be subforms as well) so that if one of the salesman needs to look up a Customer or Manufacturer, they can see the corresponding data
Can anyone help me finalize this?
I have the following tables and relationships set up - but that's as far as I got, as I am unsure how to work with the data (It's been years since I've had to work with database design.
