    Field Sorting Problem

Hi I am new to access. I am using a current database designed by someone else that no longer works here where the fields in the table currently allow me to sort A-Z or Z-A and also it allows me to sort by the individual check boxes of items that are currently in the rows in that particular field. But randomly two fields have decided to stop letting me sort by the individual check boxes. I have tried everything I can find and research and nothing is making it work. I gone into the design view and checked the fields that are working correctly with the two that are not and I cannot find anything different. It is important that I can click the drop down in the field and be able to sort multiple items that I have checked the box beside. I have attached a photo of what I am talking about just in case I am not saying it correctly with the lingo etc.Any help would be appreciated thanks

since no replies after about 20 views, I'll suggest you orient those pictures horizontally and resize them to something useful. Even if I turned my laptop on its side, they'd still be too big. I guess the "checkboxes" are in the built in list? At first I thought you meant boxes in the records themselves, but again, hard to see.

Or I could just give you the standard type of answer like you'd get from IT - try compact/repair of your db.

Oh, and is this a table? If so, you shouldn't even be worried about it because you shouldn't be working directly on tables anyway.

The checkbox selections are not for sorting, they are for filtering.

    Bing: access quick filter dropdown

If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
