Post Which way is better to build a tables for Invoices ?

    Hello everyone

Which way is better to build a tables for Invoices ?
    for example :
We have 6 Invoices (Sale Invoice , Return Sale Invoice , Purchase Invoice , Return Purchase Invoice , Stock Invoice and Surplus Invoice )
each table is independent , it means every table has a special details with a special sub table : in this way we will have 6 head tables with 6 sub table
or we use another way is better
one table for head table and one for sub table , and make relationship between them .

    Hi,

if you ever need an overview/total or report of all your invoices, having them in 1 table is easier then using several tables.

    Hi Mehvan

I recommend you to go by grouping if interested to link and store the historical linked Data.

    Example:
You can't have sales return if never sold and You cant return the purchase if never purchased.

Otherwise, simplest way is to have one master table record each transaction by its Type as other suggested by other friends.
