    Front End Access DB Duplication

Hi. Looking for a solution. I have a small Access database. I have split it into Front end and Back end. The Back End resides in 1 drive folder named Database. In the same folder I have placed the front end. I have 3 computers in the office; of which all are connected to/have access to 1 Drive. I have the database shared and working..meaning any updates entered into the database is saved and can be viewed from all computers in the workgroup.

My problem is that upon using the FE on any computer, a duplicate of the FE is duplicated in the 1 drive folder. Please see attached. Any help would be appreciated.

    Regards,

    Rodger

Do you mean OneDrive? in the cloud?
Not a good idea with an access backend, same as using access on a wan.
Also each user should have a local copy of the front end on their individual computer.
Are the 3 computers networked (Hard wired)?
You can put the backend on any of the 3 and connect the local copies of the front end to it.
Even better is to connect another computer to the network and put the backend on that as it needs to be on continuously.

    Agree with mlke123.
DO NOT use OneDrive, Box, DropBox to host the BE.

Thanks for fast response. Will proceed with hard wiring all 3 computers.
