print preview has my page divided into 6 sections - margins, columns, all seem to be fine

    Hi.

I have an access report that when I look at it in Print Preview is showing a 1/3 section of the report and then when I look at it in Layout Mode, I can see vertical dotted lines dividing my report. When I check the page layout settings, the columns and margins are what I expect - one column and narrow margins. I don't know how the layout was changed. Also, there are no tabs or anything showing on the measuring tool.

This is an older database that has worked fine up until now. Any ideas?

I am suspicious of a museum quality label printer that is also used by this database but its labels are 4" wide so this doesn't explain the dotted lines being more like 3" apart. The person on the ship, though, tells me that the printer chosen is the correct one.

Go to the design view to get the ruler and also check this setting for paper size and chosen printer:

Try changing the default printer to a "normal" printer, or using a specified printer for this. The default Windows printer is used to render the report, and I've seen this type of thing happen when the default printer was a label printer of some sort.

I think she's tried that, but I'm trying to verify. Thanks and hang on for a response.
