Hi, I’m a complete novice so apologies if this is a stupid question. I have a database split as a front end and back end. A friend would like a copy for their workplace. I have installed it so the back end is on our server and the front end is stored by each user.



Can I create an install package that lets the user specify the back end location and then changes the link in the front end?

Yes but it requires VBA code and is not a straightforward task.
There are many auto relinkiers avaialble if you do a google search e.g. one by JStreet and another by Tony Teows

Alternatively explain to users how to update the links using the linked table manager

Personally I would suggest you just instruct each user to install at the same specified location
