    Setting a form field disabled

    Hi There,

Can someone tell me how to disable a form field.

When I enter Me.DateField1. I only get offered 'Value' as a choice. On some of my other form fields I get offered 'Disable, Enable, Visible' etc.
Why do some of my fields offer more choices to select.

    Thanks for the help.

    Best Regards,

    Steve.

You should be offered those choices when you're referring to a control (textbox, combo, etc) on the form. Is that perhaps just a field in the RecordSource with no control, or perhaps its control has a different name?

One of Paul's two suggestions has to be it!

Perhaps its a label rather than a textbox? But that wouldn't have a Value property
You can't disable the following controls - label/image/line/page break/rectangle (box).

Would those offer a Value option?
