    Data Filter Error

    Kindly refer below photos .



    In some of my reports i am able to apply filter but in some reports i am getting an error report .

    Refer attached images for details . Report 1 is where filter working but in same database Report 2 when filter is applied , it shows error message

    You should be filtering forms ,rather than reports.
    does the query (behind report) have calculations?

    But how does the first report work with the filter ?


    Yes in certain cases query does have calculation. But not in the field indicated above

    Provide the RecordSource sql statement. Might need to review db to analyze issue. If you want to provide, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

    thought I had posted a response, but can't see it so posting again

    error can be caused if your data has single or double quotes in it, so recommend you check your vendor name records

    It would error if name has apostrophe like O'Conner if building WHERE criteria with VBA, but filtering with intrinsic Access tools will not error.
