    can not establish a relationship

I have been trying to establish a relationship between two tables and the system will not allow it. I keep getting the same error message.

The problem is I can not figure out what it means by duplicate data. I do not have this field on any other table.

When I remove the PK from eExceptionListID_PK it will let me save the table but not when I make it the PK. What am I Missing?

Are you trying to connect the two "eExceptionListID_PK" values in your two tables?
You cannot link an Autonumber field to a Text field. You would need to change the one that is a Text field to a Numeric field.

no I am trying to connect eexceptionlistID_PK to eExceptionCode. They both hold the same information. I have tried renaming them so they are both the same as well as every combo I can think of but as soon as I try to make eExceptionCode the PK i get the error message.

suspect your eExceptionListID_PK has duplicate values in it - your relationships shows that tblExceptionList does not have a PK, so I'm guessing you are getting this error when you try to make eExceptionListID_PK a PK.

Also, if you have data in these tables and eExceptionCode is null, or nulls are allowed, it will cause errors because eExceptionListID_PK cannot be null. (Or if you have nulls in tblExceptionList.)
