    About Expression Builder

    Hello,

I have an "unrelated text box" in a form that is bound to Table1, except for the associated text boxes. In this text box, I can read the data in "Table2" using DLookUp in the expression constructor. It's okay up here.

Question is; Likewise, in the DLookUp style, but the task is not to read the existing data, this time to enter the data into Table2 is a tool available in "Expression Builder" is present?
So let me choose something like this for the unrelated text box in the expression creator so that the text box can be used to save data to the corresponding field in Table2.
    Thank you.

you can use similar code with the DLookup.

    Hello,
Thank you, but you understand me wrong. I know this application but my necessary is different. I want to use "unbound text box" for data entry to the "unbound Table2 area" via Expression Builder.

Via the expression builder, no. You could use a subform bound to table 2. Failing that, you could use a macro or code to execute and append query to add the data to table 2. It would be more helpful to describe the data and the relationships between the tables.

    Thank you Paul,

I know, classic subform, table relationships or VBA code application. I wondered, what about the expression builder power. Because, I don't know a lot of things in that builder.

As mentioned, I don't think it can be done with the expression builder.
