Want to use field in a table to populate field in a new form

    Hello all,

I have a table that has Part information in it such as PN, Description, etc. I am creating a new form with a combo box "cmbSelectPN" which allows me to select the PN from the "tblPartNum", which it does just fine. My issue is that I also want to bring over the "Description" of the part and have it populated into a Field named "DHRDescription" on the form also. What code would be necessary to do this?

The form does not use "tblPartNum" as the record source.

Would the DoCmd work? I am not up to speed on VBA

    Thanks

    Dave
