    If code is behind form and recordset has that field, simply:

    Me.fieldname = "C:\history\" & Me.text74
    How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

    OK watched a youtube vid and came up with this

    Code:
    Sub makefolder()

    path = "C:\History" & "Me.ID"

    MkDir path

    End sub
    Is this going to make the folder and name it the what is the ID field?
    Where does this code go?

    How is this tied to the On Click event?

    Do not put variables within quote marks. Reference to field or control is a variable input.
    Code:
    Me!path = "C:\History\" & Me.ID
