Exclamation Text box problems - Invtory transaction list

    Hello everyone,

I am new to Microsoft access and I am using the default Inventory transaction template. On the Inventory transaction list I am trying to add another column were we can input the job no. I have done this but whichever row i type a number in this column all the cells in that column change to the same number. Does anyone have any information on how i can put different numbers in the cells in that column.

    Thanks,

    Ryan Green

that means your form has the text box that is UNBOUND.
assign the text box to the field and it will then show the value for the 1 record.

in design mode, select the text box, properties,
set control source = field name.

if you are that new, you will need a book on the basics of Access.

I looked at your database, but I don't see [Job No] in the source table Inventory Transactions Extended. That's why it says #name. If I change the data source for the text box "Job No" to something that exists (I just picked something from the list, like Target Stock Level), then the data populates. So I think that is your problem. Job No needs to be part of the input data going into the form.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
