    ODBC across VPN

Is there a way to get an application to use a mapped drive within ODBC? I am installing a computer in a remote branch that I can map a drive across our VPN and actually see the database file I want to use.

The issue is that from within my application, the table I need is not accessible. I am told that I need to use netbios mapping, but it is not functonal across my VPN.

Are there any tricks to fooling ODBC?

The target PC should be bound via ODBC.
    not your physical PC.
