The menu on the left says "All Access Objects." The menu on the right says "All Dates." I need the menu on the right to say ALL ACCESS OBJECTS.
For some reason the file on the left originally said All Access Objects, but now it's not working. I can't just switch to the file on the right because then I will be missing data.

Your objects are being grouped by created date or modified date.
Click the small down arrow in the All Dates bar and select Object Type

When I follow your instructions, this is what happens. It will not let me click off check mark where it says forms. I need the menu to be separated into 3 clearly defined groups: Tables, Queries, Forms. Right now all I get is forms.

Okay now it's working -- but when I come in tomorrow it likely will not work again. The "All Access Objects" option seems to disappear and reappear at will. The problem arises when I shut down the program at night and then open the file the next morning. Any suggestions?
This is how I need the menu to look every day. Not one long file without any definition between the 3 categories.

Each database should retain the navigation pane settings used when it was last closed
So it should reopen as you have it now UNLESS you have startup condition code set to something else ... UNLIKELY!

NOTE: the settings used on one database do NOT affect those on another database
