The Duration text box is not formatted as time. It is formatted as Standard. the calculation in the trext box works. It's the textbox I'm using to average the Duration that is returning the wrong result

The text box 125 is in the header of the report that I'm using to average the Duration amounts is formatted as Short time. Duration is not formatted as time. It shows the decimal equivalent of the time

As stated, formatting won't work. The average is still a quantity not a time value.

It looks like you are comparing apples to oranges. The duration values are decimals, the average is a time value. If you convert the decimals to minutes, you'll see the answer is correct.

    decimal minutes
    0.43 25.8
    0 0
    0 0
    1.05 63
    0.42 25.2
    22.8

You've formatted text125 as short time. Why? If you want the average of standard fields, the answer is standard.
What is the actual result that you want to see in text125 for the given durations?

    .43 hr = 25.8 min

Both are still quantity. Neither can have date/time formatting applied.
